GodFrame

Terrence Lamar Ford, also known as his stage name “GodFrame,” is an Atlanta-based Christian rapper, producer, and youth speaker who believes that music is more than just a collection of sounds - but a tool that can be used to change lives.

GodFrame (which means “made in God's image”) fell in love with music at an early age, beat-boxing and drumming on pots and pans on his grandmother’s kitchen floor. As his musical journey expanded to piano, drums, and saxophone, so did his faith.

“My mom raised me in church, so I was always around gospel music,” he says. “I was 8 or 9 years old sitting in the middle of our youth choir rehearsal when I felt God’s love for the first time. I don’t remember what we were singing, but I remember the Lord telling me something like ‘these words are true -- and I love you.’ The next thing I know, I was crying uncontrollably. Everybody at church thought something was wrong with me, but I was just overcome with joy. I professed my faith in Jesus and was baptized not long after that.”

With a melodic 808-infused pop rap sound reminiscent of Post Malone, T-Pain, and Macklemore, and having shared the stage with the likes of Andy Mineo, nobigdyl., and WHATUPRG, GodFrame is known for using storytelling to breathe light and hope into life’s darkest nights.

“There’s a transparency in my music that I think really draws people in,” he says. “It’s not a gimmick. It’s just how I write. I put real stories into my songs to encourage people that no matter who they are, where they're from, or what mistakes they've made, God loves them unconditionally.”
